Xhejn Kumrija (JANEX) first contact with art was with the figurative arts as painting and ceramic since she was a kid.
Her dad was the initiator about music applying his passion at first to the youngest sister ,Enxhi (Angie),who studied violin at the artistic mid-school in Tirana. Enxhi & Xhejn have 2 years of difference.
Xhejn studied at the same school flute when she was 10-11 years old for 4 years,and then studied painting. At the same time she self taught guitar that was her big passion at the adolescent period,which came to be her main instrument and helped her compose and sing.
Firstly inspired by Sia and some indie artist, Xhejn started to make her own songs and is now a singer songwriter.
She & her sister Enxhi (Angie), participated together in multiple competitions in Albania, in which one of them they even won a first place, “Hit Fest 2012”. They were also featured in ’The Voice Of Albania”. Once the sisters seen the reactions of the crowds they began taking music more seriously.
Xhejn started releasing music on her on back in 2013 with her first English song called “Trees”. After that release she began to search for her sound and in 2015 she released her single “Someday”.
